TOUGH CUT SUMMER 2026

Tough Cut Summer returns in 2026, and our core mission remains in tact —we will continue to engage players from programs across Nashville in a productive, competitive, and fun environment while offering premier instruction from some of the best in the nation.

We will continue with our sought-after clinic structure (power skating -> skills/IQ/contact -> 3v3), though we will be adding ice time (up to 14 hours from last year's 12). We’re excited that that Pro Stride will be joining us once again, and we want to take full advantage of what they can offer us in four action-packed days. Pro Stride is a nationally regarded power skating entity, and we believe in the value of outside voices and perspective.

A reminder that while goalies are an integral part of our offering, we do not offer goalie specific instruction. Goalies join us for the second half of each day, after we've moved on from power skating.

Lastly, as of now we will only be offering one session that will cover 2011, 2012, and 2013 birth years. If your birth year is not included but you are interested in being a part of our offering, please fill out this interest form. If interest grows, we will build our offering.

Bantam + Midget Minor Group Details

Who?

2011, 2012, and 2013 birth years. A-AAA players in good standing with their home programs.

What?

3.5 hours on ice per day.

Power Skating. Our power skating sessions are designed to strengthen edge work, acceleration, and transitions —skills that better enable players to attack open space in the neutral and offensive zone.

Hockey IQ. Our second session each day is continuing to evolve with our players needs; with these birth years our focus is on situational play and smart hockey —using our raw skills (skating, stick handling, passing, and shooting) to read and interpret situations to make the right play. Contact is part of situational play, and we will emphasize that.

3v3. The final session each day gives players an exciting way to put it all together —a four day 3v3 mini-league, culminating in the Tough Cut Cup on the last day of camp. Players are assigned to teams (with trades made mid week!) to bolster a fun, competitive atmosphere. 3v3 is a valuable tool that nurtures on-ice creativity and vision. The final day sees full-ice 3v3 action. It’s a whole lot of fun and is perfect for summer development.
